Introduction
I have been a big fan of TED Talks! Just by watching the videos really inspires me and the same time there is a lot to learn from. The video topics are from technology, entertainment, design, business to science, there is a huge of variety of topics to choose. One specific video topic that really catches my attention is this video presentation that talks about "How can technology transform the human body" by Lucy McRae. Her line of work into body architect and merging of biology (human body) to technology. Sounds fascinating, right? This is just the beginning. One of stunning work of art is swallowing a pill that lets you sweat perfume. Let me start my blog about this TED Talk video.
What was the topic and argument of the presentation?
The topic and argument focuses on how human body can collaborate with technology. Our human body has been a vocal point of our daily lives. So on her video she was talking about how human body can transform into something work of art by the used of technology. Since her background is into research design, she tried to worked on the concept of creating electronic tattoo or blurring something as part of the human body. Her latest work was invoking a pill into the human body as you sweat perfume.
How were visual or other props used in the presentation?
The visual and other props were also part of her presentation she showed a number piece work.
This is one of her piece work that connects the face into one solid craft.
This is her idea of blurring the perimeter of the human body.
Covering wrap plumbing tubing to cover the skin.
Was it effective?
I think her presentation was very fascinating and the audience was really into it. Her creativity and resourcefulness was really off the chart. I think putting all the facts together, her presentation can be effective in some aspect.
Were questions asked?
There were no questions asked. The audience was just fully amazed on what she had presented.
Humor used?
A lot of humor used on this presentation. From the beginning until the end there were a lot of humor and creativity shown. Showing her presentation slides really captivate the interest of the audience.
How was the pacing?
The pacing was really good. The way she arranged her presentation was very detailed and informative. She started with her facts and ended on how she is going to implement her work in the future.
Was there a 'path' through the presentation?
Yes.
Were you engaged or inspired?
I am both. Engaging the fact that she was very creative and crafty with her work. Inspired because her work is just mind boggling and keep asking me myself, how did she do it?
